Dart Valves for Atmospheric Systems – VDSA
The VDSA Dart Valve has been specifically designed for atmospheric systems used in mining processes requiring the control of abrasive fluids, such as copper tailings, slurries, and mineral concentrates. Typical applications include transfer boxes, mill feed systems, and Rougher and Scavenger flotation cells. This solution provides a comprehensive approach to fluid control in applications widely used in mineral concentrator plants throughout Chile and internationally.
The VDSA Dart Valve design incorporates an actuation system that can be pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, or manual. Additionally, the entire supporting assembly, including the solid guide, support structure, stem, plug, and seat required for fluid modulation, is integrated into a single unit. The equipment is supplied ready for installation and can be adapted to existing or newly designed flotation cells and transfer boxes.

Advantages
-
Easy Installation and Removal for Maintenance: The valve seat is integrated into the valve structure, allowing components to be removed from above without requiring personnel to enter the distribution box.
-
Anti-Vibration System: A specially developed system isolates vibrations generated by the valve plug, extending the service life of the actuator seals.
-
Customized Plug Geometry: The plug geometry can be tailored to specific application requirements, improving the valve's flow control characteristics and overall control performance.
