In response to the demanding operating conditions and specific requirements of our customers, PESSA identified the need to design and manufacture a unique valve solution capable of controlling abrasive fluid flow within confined spaces while adapting to existing piping configurations.

To address this challenge, PESSA developed, patented, and manufactured the VCSP Knife Gate Valve for Pressurized Systems.

This innovative equipment incorporates proven engineering concepts from other PESSA solutions already operating in mineral concentrator plants.

The VCSP was first installed in August 2022 and has demonstrated excellent performance in terms of control accuracy, ease of maintenance, and service life, significantly exceeding 12 months of continuous operation.

Additionally, the valve has successfully eliminated blockages primarily caused by slurry sedimentation and accumulation, a recurring issue in equipment with similar operating characteristics.

These performance advantages have encouraged customers to standardize the VCSP for specific process applications, particularly in Staged Flotation Reactor (SFR) cells.
